Which tablet to buy? A GUIDE

Tablets are at the top of many wish lists but which one to buy? The choice used to be pretty limited, with the iPad dominating the latecomers. But this year, the field is more even, as tablets from Apple's competitors have matured. In addition, Google and Microsoft are diving in with their own tablets, providing more choice.

The first step in the buying process is to decide on the size of the tablet. They fall into two rough categories: the full-sized tablet, pioneered by the iPad, and the half-size tablet, epitomized by the Kindle Fire.

Full-sized tablets, which generally have screens measuring about 10 inches on the diagonal, are better for surfing websites designed for PCs, and far better when it comes to displaying magazines and documents. Overall, they go further toward replacing a laptop. They cost $400 and up.
Half-sized tablets, which have screens measuring roughly 7 inches on the diagonal, are cheaper and lighter, but just as good as full-sized tablets for e-book reading. It's an excellent first computing device for a kid, or a gentle nudge into the digital world for an older adult with little computing experience. This year's crop costs $199 and up, but last year's models are available for less.

Question:How Ponty Chadha gained his business?

A day after liquor and real estate baron Ponty Chadha and brother Hardeep died in a shootout at a Delhi farmhouse, uncertainty hangs over his massive business several thousand crores.

Mr Chadha's father Kulwant Singh Chadha started off in the early 1960s by setting up a liquor shop at Ramnagar in Uttarakhand. Next came a sugar-crusher in Uttar Pradesh. What happened next is hazy at best but over the years, especially in the last 15 years, Mr Chadha went on to become a liquor and real estate magnate.

The Wave Inc website puts the company's turnover at Rs. 2500 crore, but other estimates of Mr Chadha's wealth are far grander. His thriving real estate business, mostly in Uttar Pradesh, is valued at around Rs. 10,000 crore. He was the lone wholesaler for liquor in Uttar Pradesh - a Rs. 14,000-crore business as per 2011 figures.

Another Chadha company has the sole contract for supplying midday meals under the child development scheme in Uttar Pradesh. Going by these estimates, Mr Chadha's total worth could very well be over Rs. 25,000 crore.

Mr Chadha's businesses were a family affair, run with the help of his son Manpreet and brothers Hardeep and Rajinder. With two brothers gone, the group is now left in the hands of Manpreet and Rajinder.

Manpreet is reported to be already handling the real estate business. It's the liquor business that may now be at stake. Mr Chadha ran it with an iron fist, after being made the lone liquor wholesaler for Uttar Pradesh by the Mayawati government in 2009.

10 little facts about Google

Started as BackRub: It may be hard for some to think of a search engine other than Google, but the search behemoth did not begin with that name. When Larry Page and Sergey Brin, both with computer science degrees from Stanford, started their search engine, it was called BackRub. This search engine was operated from the servers of Stanford only, but soon took up more bandwidth than anticipated.

Google's geeky inspiration: Googol: Larry Page and Sergey Brin showed their geeky side while renaming the search engine they had incepted. They chose a pun on the numerical entity googol, which means 1 followed by 100 zeros. This figure represents the duo's aim to organise a huge amount of data on the internet.

Got funding from Sun co-founder: As a start-up, Google needed money and Andy Bechtolsheim, the co-founder of Sun Microsystems, understood the potential of their venture. He wrote a cheque of $100,000 for Google Inc, a company that had not yet been formed. Soon, Larry Page and Sergey Brin got their company registered as Google Inc.

First employees: In 1998, Craig Silverstein, another computer science graduate from Stanford, became the first employee of Google. A year later, Larry Page and Sergey Brin recruited their first non-engineering employee - Omid Kordestani for sales.

First-ever doodle:Google marks special occasions with a redesigned iteration of its logo on its search home page called doodle. Over the years, they have acquired a following of their own and are widely lauded for their creativity. However, not many know how that first doodle was not a result of an innovation. Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin had gone to attend the Burning Man Festival in the Nevada and left a drawing in honour of the event to let users know of their absence in case of a server breakdown.

Don't be evil: Google's unofficial slogan is Don't Be Evil, a phrase suggested by two company employees. It was a jab at big companies that aim to make short-term profits at the expense of public interests. Google cites the 'Don't Be Evil' philosophy as the central pillar of its identity and one of its core values.

The first hardware: Google ventured into hardware for the first time in 2002, when it launched the Google Search Appliance. A small yellow coloured box, this device can be plugged into any intranet, document management system or website so that data can be searched easily in the network.

Google can search your desktop:In October 2004, Google Desktop Search was launched, a software which helps users search documents, emails, music, photos, files and programmes on their computers. However, this product was discontinued last year because of advent of cloud computing and web-based applications.

Google Earth-based rescue ops: In September 2005, rescue teams in the US used Google Earth to gauge the magnitude of the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina and determine the location of victims stranded in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.

Off to a bad start: Though Larry Page and Sergey Brin co-founded Google, they did not get off to the best start. When Page was considering joining Stanford, Brin was assigned to give him a tour and some say they disagreed about almost everything the first they met.

5 things you should never reveal online

You may love being online, but that doesn't mean you can reveal all. Here are somethings that should be kept under wraps:

  • Intimate photos and videos : Something that you post in the heat of the moment may come back to haunt you many years later. Anything that's once posted online can never be deleted completely. So make sure that you don't post something that you may not want you colleagues, boss, siblings or parents to see.
  • Your phone number : And for that matter even your address. Even if you think that you can trust you e-friend, don't be naive. Similarly don't give out you address for some lucky draw. This very lucky draw may prove 'unlucky' for you.
  • Don't post any abuses : If you have some complaints against you boss or teachers don't write messages against them over the net. For starters, it can be easily traced back to you. Wouldn't you rather talk about your complaints face-to-face with your boss than miss out on that promotion you were vying for.
  • Bank details : It's one thing to pay your bills online over secure websites, but never ever can you give out your account number or your ATM pincodes. Don't take such risk no matter what the emergency is. If someone asks you for such details be suspicious of them.
  • Minute by Minute details : It's one thing to tell people how you feel or crack a joke a two over the net, but don't give out details like 'going out for groceries' or 'heading to the local bar'.

Seven Intimate moves for tight sex

Improve your sex positions

1. While kissing him, lick and suck his tongue to get his member throbbing. Make it slow and relaxed with love and intimacy thrown in for good measure. The longer your kiss, the better will be the consequent action.

2. In the middle of the act, dig your nails into his butt and pull him in closer. Wrap your legs tight around his butt, which will convey an urgent need for him to be even closer.

3. Have him sit with his legs crossed on the bed or floor. Then straddle him, wrap your legs behind his back, and rock back and forth. As your bodies will be tight together, use it to kiss him all over his face and neck.

4. As your man goes down on you, ask him to work his tongue all over your body. You will be moaning with pleasure within no time!

5. Have your partner lie down, and you lie down on top of him face upwards. Work his member between your legs and watch magic unfurl.

6. Have your man sit in a chair and ask him not to touch you. Tease him with your hotness and that he can't touch you will drive him crazy with unattainable pleasure.

7. Lower yourself sideways onto your man. He'll be able to feel your inner contours in an entirely new way.
