7 known Android gadgets

Android TVs

Smart TVs with basic internet connectivity are passe, now is the time for Android-powered TVs. The Android TVs in the market today offer full functionalities of Google's mobile operating system, including access to apps. You can plug in a keyboard and mouse via USB to chat with friends on Facebook, Twitter and GTalk; access emails; and make calls via Skype.

Using a smartphone in conjunction with such TVs, you can even play games like Angry Birds on your TV screen.

Android cameras

Canon and Samsung have developed cameras with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), respectively. The two devices have access to all Android apps and can access the internet via Wi-Fi and 3G. Both render 16MP images by default, but you can alter the images by adding your favourite filters using apps like Instagram, Paper Camera etc and share them with friends and family instantly on social networks.

Android notebooks

Move over tablets, here come full blown laptops running on Android. With Android OS under the hood, these notebooks come with resistive touchscreens, so that you can use a keyboard as well as on-screen controls while operating them. Access to Android games as well as productivity apps, along with internet, make them potent tools for the average user.

Though these have not created much noise in the market, some of the companies that have dabbled in Android-powered notebooks are Compaq, HP, Smartbook and Toshiba.

Google Glasses

During I/O 2012 in June, Google showed off a new invention - Google Glasses, an augmented reality display worn on the head, with a small display panel on the right side. The product runs on Google's Android operating system and can be used to display videos and emails, take pictures and videos etc on the go, all the time.

Android set top box for TVs

Bringing the Android experience to TVs seems to be an agenda for many as various manufacturers have lined up set top boxes that allow Android apps to be used on a television screen. Such devices can be connected to the TV via HDMI cables and access the internet using Wi-Fi and Ethernet in order to bring a seamless Android experience to the television.

Android gaming consoles

Android-powered gaming consoles are the new playmates of gamers, with currently only three options. Wikipad, a Jelly Bean powered device with 10.1-inch screen, is the only Android-based gaming console available in the market presently, while Ouya and PlayMG are under development.

Android Watches

Manufacturers are now aiming for your wrists with the Android-powered watches that offer snippets of information and instant alerts. Sony, Motorola and Pebble are the companies that have brought this device to the market first. Smart watches can be linked to your smartphone and tablet to alert you about emails and SMSes, and become your workout partner as well.

Nokia Lumia 920 shipped in US

Nokia seems to have finally gotten it right with Lumia 920. The Finnish phone maker's flagship device running on Windows Phone 8 has reportedly received over 2.5 million pre-orders worldwide and is nearly sold out in the US. A report in Yahoo China stated that the number of advance bookings worldwide for Nokia Lumia 920 were over 2.5 million in less than three weeks.

The smartphone, available in five colours, was launched in September this year and started shipping in France, UK, Russia and Germany in late October and early November.

The device is expected to launch in India in late November or early December, though nothing has been confirmed by the company.

The End of Smartphone Era is coming

You've heard that Google is working on computerized glasses. They're called Google Glass, and developers can already buy them.
It turns out Microsoft is working on something similar. It filed some patents on the project and Unwired View dug them up.
There's a big difference between what Microsoft is working on and Google Glass, though.
The most recent word out of Google is that Google Glass isn't going to use "augmented reality" – where data and illustrations overlay the actual world around you.
Google Glass is actually just a tiny screen you have to look up and to the left to see.
Microsoft's glasses seem to utilize augmented reality. In a patent illustration we've embedded below, you can see that the glasses put data on top of a live action concert and a ballgame.
Both gadget concepts are very interesting.
Google Glass or whatever Microsoft is working on could end up replacing the smartphone as the dominant way people access the Internet and connect to each other.
First off: something has to. Disruption is inevitable.
Secondly: The trend is obvious.
Computers have been getting smaller and closer to our faces since their very beginning.
First they were in big rooms, then they sat on desktops, then they sat on our laps, and now they're in our palms. Next they'll be on our faces.
Eventually they'll be in our brains.
By the way, you can bet that if Microsoft and Google are working on computerized glasses, so is Apple and Jony Ive.
And that's pretty exciting.

IPv6 internet addresses available in India

Indian Registry for Internet Names and Numbers (IRINN) has started issuing next version of internet addresses 'IPv6', which would make it easy for security agencies to identify each internet user.

The internet addresses under the present version IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 4), are limited and service providers often assign single IP address to many users, making it difficult to identify the end user.

The number of IPv6 addresses available is enormous. ISPs (Internet Service Providers) can allocate an IP address to their users. People can be easily identified if they are using IPv6.

Question:How Ponty Chadha gained his business?

A day after liquor and real estate baron Ponty Chadha and brother Hardeep died in a shootout at a Delhi farmhouse, uncertainty hangs over his massive business several thousand crores.

Mr Chadha's father Kulwant Singh Chadha started off in the early 1960s by setting up a liquor shop at Ramnagar in Uttarakhand. Next came a sugar-crusher in Uttar Pradesh. What happened next is hazy at best but over the years, especially in the last 15 years, Mr Chadha went on to become a liquor and real estate magnate.

The Wave Inc website puts the company's turnover at Rs. 2500 crore, but other estimates of Mr Chadha's wealth are far grander. His thriving real estate business, mostly in Uttar Pradesh, is valued at around Rs. 10,000 crore. He was the lone wholesaler for liquor in Uttar Pradesh - a Rs. 14,000-crore business as per 2011 figures.

Another Chadha company has the sole contract for supplying midday meals under the child development scheme in Uttar Pradesh. Going by these estimates, Mr Chadha's total worth could very well be over Rs. 25,000 crore.

Mr Chadha's businesses were a family affair, run with the help of his son Manpreet and brothers Hardeep and Rajinder. With two brothers gone, the group is now left in the hands of Manpreet and Rajinder.

Manpreet is reported to be already handling the real estate business. It's the liquor business that may now be at stake. Mr Chadha ran it with an iron fist, after being made the lone liquor wholesaler for Uttar Pradesh by the Mayawati government in 2009.

iPhone 5, Android 4.1, Galaxy S III, Note 10.1 dragged into patent fight

A US judge on Thursday allowed Samsung Electronics to pursue claims that the iPhone 5infringes its patents, while also allowing Apple to add claims that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy S III and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system violate its patents.
The ruling by US Magistrate Judge Paul Grewal in San Jose, California, was the latest development in a continuing legal war by Apple against manufacturers like Samsung whose products use Google's Android software.
Representatives for both Apple and Samsung declined comment.

The case is one of two patent infringement lawsuits pending in the US District Court in San Jose by Apple against Samsung. An earlier lawsuit by Apple that related to different patents resulted in a $1.05 billion jury verdict against Samsung on August 24.
Apple filed the the second lawsuit in February, alleging that various Samsung smartphone and tablet products including the Galaxy Nexusinfringed eight of its patents.

10 little facts about Google

Started as BackRub: It may be hard for some to think of a search engine other than Google, but the search behemoth did not begin with that name. When Larry Page and Sergey Brin, both with computer science degrees from Stanford, started their search engine, it was called BackRub. This search engine was operated from the servers of Stanford only, but soon took up more bandwidth than anticipated.

Google's geeky inspiration: Googol: Larry Page and Sergey Brin showed their geeky side while renaming the search engine they had incepted. They chose a pun on the numerical entity googol, which means 1 followed by 100 zeros. This figure represents the duo's aim to organise a huge amount of data on the internet.

Got funding from Sun co-founder: As a start-up, Google needed money and Andy Bechtolsheim, the co-founder of Sun Microsystems, understood the potential of their venture. He wrote a cheque of $100,000 for Google Inc, a company that had not yet been formed. Soon, Larry Page and Sergey Brin got their company registered as Google Inc.

First employees: In 1998, Craig Silverstein, another computer science graduate from Stanford, became the first employee of Google. A year later, Larry Page and Sergey Brin recruited their first non-engineering employee - Omid Kordestani for sales.

First-ever doodle:Google marks special occasions with a redesigned iteration of its logo on its search home page called doodle. Over the years, they have acquired a following of their own and are widely lauded for their creativity. However, not many know how that first doodle was not a result of an innovation. Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin had gone to attend the Burning Man Festival in the Nevada and left a drawing in honour of the event to let users know of their absence in case of a server breakdown.

Don't be evil: Google's unofficial slogan is Don't Be Evil, a phrase suggested by two company employees. It was a jab at big companies that aim to make short-term profits at the expense of public interests. Google cites the 'Don't Be Evil' philosophy as the central pillar of its identity and one of its core values.

The first hardware: Google ventured into hardware for the first time in 2002, when it launched the Google Search Appliance. A small yellow coloured box, this device can be plugged into any intranet, document management system or website so that data can be searched easily in the network.

Google can search your desktop:In October 2004, Google Desktop Search was launched, a software which helps users search documents, emails, music, photos, files and programmes on their computers. However, this product was discontinued last year because of advent of cloud computing and web-based applications.

Google Earth-based rescue ops: In September 2005, rescue teams in the US used Google Earth to gauge the magnitude of the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina and determine the location of victims stranded in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.

Off to a bad start: Though Larry Page and Sergey Brin co-founded Google, they did not get off to the best start. When Page was considering joining Stanford, Brin was assigned to give him a tour and some say they disagreed about almost everything the first they met.

Facebook Publishes Super Nerdy Big Data Engineering Blog Post To Attract Hardcore Coders

100 petabyte clusters! 60,000 hive queries a day! Facebook’s latest 1,800-word engineering blog post has one goal: proving to the world’s top programmers that if they want a challenge, they should work for the social network. There’s not much for the layman beyond that Facebook’s data warehouse is 2,500 times bigger than in 2008. This is back-end geek porn, and it’s critical to Facebook’s longterm success.

But Facebook has one thing young startups don’t have. Or should I say one billion things. Its massive user base means that what it builds seriously influences the world, and it’s trying to solve engineering problems on the forefront of computer science. At first glance, though, it might just seem like another consumer product. That’s why it needs blog posts like “Under the Hood: Scheduling MapReduce jobs more efficiently with Corona”.

The company is asking for a booking amount of Rs 3,000 for the Galaxy Camera, while the rest of the sum is to be paid within three days of the product's launch. The South Korean manufacturer is giving a 16GB microSD card for free with the device to those who pre-order the device on its website.

Seven Intimate moves for tight sex

Improve your sex positions

1. While kissing him, lick and suck his tongue to get his member throbbing. Make it slow and relaxed with love and intimacy thrown in for good measure. The longer your kiss, the better will be the consequent action.

2. In the middle of the act, dig your nails into his butt and pull him in closer. Wrap your legs tight around his butt, which will convey an urgent need for him to be even closer.

3. Have him sit with his legs crossed on the bed or floor. Then straddle him, wrap your legs behind his back, and rock back and forth. As your bodies will be tight together, use it to kiss him all over his face and neck.

4. As your man goes down on you, ask him to work his tongue all over your body. You will be moaning with pleasure within no time!

5. Have your partner lie down, and you lie down on top of him face upwards. Work his member between your legs and watch magic unfurl.

6. Have your man sit in a chair and ask him not to touch you. Tease him with your hotness and that he can't touch you will drive him crazy with unattainable pleasure.

7. Lower yourself sideways onto your man. He'll be able to feel your inner contours in an entirely new way.
